Our Governance

The Education and Training Foundation’s Board members are the charity’s trustees.

The Board oversees the work of ETF. It sets strategic direction; ensures proper financial arrangements are in place; and ensures that the ETF remains focused on delivering successful outcomes for its beneficiaries.

ETF was established by three organisations: the Association of Colleges (AoC), the Association of Employment and Learning Providers (AELP) and the Association of Adult Education and Training Organisations (AAETO HOLEX).  AoC and HOLEX are the Founding Members. The Founding Member responsibilities include appointing the majority of ETF’s trustees to the Board. The Board has responsibility for appointing six Board members. The Board meets at least four times annually and has three committees: the Audit and Performance Committee, the Finance and Resources Committee, and the Search Committee.

If you have any questions regarding ETF’s governance, please approach the Company Secretary (Gina Hobson, gina.hobson@etfoundation.co.uk) in the first instance.
