Prior to moving into national education work, Paul worked for 15 years across a range of teaching and leadership roles in Special Education, Schools, Further Education and Higher Education. For the past decade he has been involved in leading and developing policy. This has included supporting the implementation of Professional Standards, teaching improvement and workforce development across Further and Higher Education. He leads the work of the ETF in supporting practitioner led research activity, including the MPhil and MA practitioner research programmes. Responsible for large scale programme solution design at ETF, Paul leads an expert team which brings together intelligence and data gathering activity , the evidence base for our work, and effective approaches to improvement across the sector.
