Established in October 2013, we are the expert body for professional development and standards in Further Education and Training in England, and are also a registered charity.
We support teachers and leaders across the Further Education and Training sector to help them achieve their professional development goals for the benefit of learners and employers across England. In doing so, we help to transform the lives of individuals and communities across the country, unleashing potential and benefitting the economy.

Key achievements during lockdown
“My favourite thing to do at the ETF is to join the Mindfulness sessions, run by my colleagues. Their guided meditations are brilliant, and they really set me up for the rest of the day. As someone who has struggled with their mental health, I highly recommend these sessions, as we all need time to recalibrate and find our inner peace.”
