Materials to support the contextualisation of maths content in the T Level in Craft and Design

Organisations involved: Westminster Kingsway College

Brief: This T Level Resource Improvement Project (TRIP) has produced a range of learning materials, developed by an experienced T Level provider. These learning materials will support learners to develop maths skills contextualised to specific content of the T Level in Craft and Design

Produced by Westminster Kingsway College, this TRIP provides an accessible framework for learning, lesson plans and supporting learning materials that will enable learners to apply maths concepts, techniques and principles to the Core Content of the T Level in Craft and Design

The resources include:

  • a framework for learning to show how the contextualised maths content can be scaffolded and sequenced
  • seven lesson plans which cover 22 hours of learning to support the development of the maths skills in conjunction with Core Content
  • learning materials to support each lesson which enables the delivery of the 22 hours of learning

Materials to support core content formative assessment for the T Level in Craft and Design

Organisations involved: Westminster Kingsway College

Brief: This T Level Resource Improvement Project (TRIP) has produced a range of learning materials, developed by an experienced T Level provider. These learning materials will support learners to develop their understanding of the Core Content of the T Level in Craft and Design and to support them to prepare for their Core exams. The resource consists of a number of questions designed to address these Assessment Objectives.

Developing a framework for learning and guidance materials to develop core skills required for the T Level Employer Set Project

Organisations involved: Global Academy and Chelmsford College

Published date: November 2023

Brief: A package of materials to support students to develop the required ESP core skills and related guidance materials for staff and students on how best to prepare for the ESP. For the specified core skill, the materials developed by each partner consist of:

  • a framework for learning covering a minimum of 20 hours, showing how learning would be scaffolded and sequenced to develop the specified core skill
  • lesson plans and associated materials covering a minimum of 20 hours of learning
  • guidance materials for students to make effective use of the core skill within the ESP assessment.

TRIPs are suitable for teachers, managers, and specialist staff, and can also benefit from the involvement of wider stakeholders such as employers, awarding organisations and Higher Education Institutions. 

TRIPs are offered to the sector as pre-agreed projects that will produce specified resources to support teaching, learning and assessment for T Levels. Projects are funded to support staff time you will have the opportunity to: 

  • shape the content of these projects by informing us of the areas you would like to see covered by additional resources 
  • participate in the resource development for one or more projects
  • support the sector and success of T Levels.
