Places can now be booked for the annual Staff Governors Conference, which takes place online on the morning of Thursday 7 December.
The theme for this year’s event, which is aimed at staff governors in FE and Sixth Form Colleges, is ‘Wellbeing and Inclusion in the Governance Landscape’. There will be a mix of plenary and breakout sessions, as well as the opportunity to virtually network with other governors. The event will address themes including menopause and employment, trauma-informed leadership, and the cost-of-living crisis.
Confirmed speakers include Claire Snowdon Darling, the founder of Balanced Wellness and Head of College for the College of Functional Wellness; ETF Associate, Assistant Principal at Kirklees College and Chair of the National Association of Managers of Student Services, Polly Harrow; Leigh Powell of UNISON’s education and children’s services department; and Paul Bridge of UCU’s ‘Respect FE’ campaign.
For further details and to book places, visit the ETF booking website. There is no charge to attend. The event is subsidised by the Department for Education and developed by the ETF in conjunction with AoC, Holex, Unison, Unite and UCU.
