The Education and Training Foundation (ETF) has welcomed the publication of the Skills for Jobs White Paper.
Published today (21 January 2021), the White Paper recognises the importance of high-quality professional development for teachers, the value of excellent governance and leadership, and the necessity of recruiting further talent into the FE and Skills sector workforce.

The White Paper also reiterates the importance of work with different cohorts of learners including essential digital skills, English for Speakers of Other Languages and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, all of which the ETF provides extensive professional development and support for.

“We are very pleased to see the White Paper published, setting out a supportive ambition for the FE sector and giving such prominence to the quality of teaching. We will work with the Government and our partners to consider how best to respond positively to these opportunities with our plans for workforce development support for the sector over the next year and beyond.”
