The SEND: Sources of Support toolkit has been designed to help learners with Special Educational Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND) fulfil their ambitions and aspirations.
As part of the ETF’s SEND Workplace Development Programme, the toolkit includes information and tools to help listen to learners with SEND, support learners into employment, learn more about Traineeships and Supported Internships and how to engage with employers.
Kathryn James, Project Lead for the SEND Workforce Development Programme, said:
“We have designed this toolkit using the insight of Information Advice and Guidance (IAG) providers and young people with SEND. Too often learners with SEND do not receive the information, advice and guidance they need. Like all young people, they have ambitions for their lives that they want to fulfil, and they need information and advice on the options available and guidance to help them put aspirational and purposeful plans into place.”
A pre-recorded webinar has been produced to help guide you through making the best use of the toolkit. Further resources, information and useful links to websites, including those developed during the first year of the SEND Workforce Development Programme, are available on the SEND Exhibition Site.
