New and updated TLPD offer now live

The new T Level Professional Development (TLPD) offer has launched, providing a range of new courses and continuing professional development (CPD) opportunities to all those involved in the planning and delivery of T Levels at ESFA providers.

The TLPD offer, delivered by ETF and funded by the Department for Education, provides those who are planning and delivering T Levels – from leaders and governors to teachers and support staff – with a range of online and face-to-face support, including workshops, resources, mentoring, networking, and opportunities for industry collaboration. Support has been available to T Level planning and delivery staff since 2019, when the pilot of the TLPD programme began.

The TLPD programme has continued to evolve over time in response to engagement with, and active listening to, the sector to ensure the offer continues to meet providers’ needs. In response to sector feedback, further support for embedding English, maths and digital skills into the delivery of T Levels was introduced in 2022 and the Assessment in T Levels course was added in 2023.

A range of new courses and CPD opportunities has been introduced for the academic year 2024/25, including an Introducing the T Level Foundation Year online course to support individuals in a range of roles with an introduction to the structure and purpose of the T Level Foundation Year, and key considerations for design, planning, delivery and employer engagement. Other updates include an expansion of the subject-specific offer, more tailored support for smaller providers including schools, and more networking opportunities for providers to share knowledge and best practice.
