The Education and Training Foundation (ETF) is showing its support for the national Colleges Week campaign run by the Association of Colleges (AoC) and supported by a number of high-profile organisations. This year’s event runs from 14–18 October 2019.
It is an opportunity to highlight the brilliant work that happens in colleges across the country and the dedication of the teaching and training workforce. The ETF is encouraging all Further Education (FE) colleges to get behind the campaign and use the week to celebrate their successes and why they love working in their organisation and engage with alumni.
As the campaign is pointing out, colleges prepare students with valuable employability skills, helping to develop their career opportunities. They transform millions of lives each year, shaping communities and boosting the economy.
Colleges Week provides a valuable platform to celebrate and promote the fantastic work that is done in colleges across the country. Lives, communities and the economy are transformed by colleges, which play a vital role in educating and upskilling the nation.
Those things are achieved by the dedicated professionals who – alongside their counterparts in independent training providers, offender learning and other areas of Further Education – inspire learners every day, equipping them with the knowledge and skills they need to be successful in their future careers.
