Webinars covering Subject Knowledge and Subject Teacher Training for Technical Teachers for each of the T Levels that will be delivered from September 2020 are now available to book. They are part of the ETF-delivered T Level Professional Development (TLPD) offer.
Six webinars have been scheduled for each of the three T Level subjects – Design, Surveying and Planning; Digital Production, Design and Development; and Education and Childcare. The ‘twilight sessions’ take place from 5pm to 7.30pm on dates in October and November 2019, and February and March 2020.
The Construction webinar will tackle subjects including business structures in the construction industry, information and data in construction, materials science, relationship management and team dynamics. It will be held on Monday 4 November, Wednesday 13 November, Thursday 14 November, Monday 17 February, Wednesday 26 February and Wednesday 4 March. Sessions can be booked here.
The Digital webinar will look at scrum teams, coding through online resources and Codechef. It will be held on Tuesday 5 November, Thursday 7 November, Monday 18 November, Monday 3 February, Tuesday 4 February and Tuesday 10 March. Places can be booked here.
The Education and Childcare webinar will consider play, movement and development, safeguarding legislation, behaviour coaching, and mentoring and reflection. It will be held on Wednesday 30 October, Wednesday 13 November, Monday 18 November, Monday 17 February, Wednesday 19 February and Wednesday 4 March. You can book here.
These sessions will be interactive and participants will require an internet connection, microphone and, where possible, a webcam. Each webinar will be delivered by a subject expert and will be suitable for both new and experienced teachers preparing for T Level delivery from 2020 onwards. They are fully subsidised and provided to ESFA funded providers at no charge.
