The first 31 Teacher Regional Improvement Projects (TRIPs) are now underway. They are taking place as part of the ETF T Level Professional Development offer. Twelve are happening in the northern Knowledge Hub region, ten in the central Knowledge Hub region, and nine in the southern Knowledge Hub region.
The TRIP themes were agreed and inception events for them were held earlier this month, as reported in the fifth edition of our T Level Professional Development bulletin. They will focus on topics including soft skill development to prepare students for industry placements, the inclusion of learners with SEND, assessment, pedagogy by pathway, industry updating, preparing teachers for T Level delivery, employer engagement, co-curriculum design and delivery, English, maths and digital skills.
Further launch events, seeking applications for 19 more TRIPs, will take place in August and September (2019). Details of the events will be announced in a future edition of the TLPD bulletin.
Providers who might be interested in applying to be a partner in one of those 19 TRIPs and wish to find out more about those that have already begun should contact the delivery partners leading the Knowledge Hubs:
Further details of Knowledge Hubs, TRIPs – including guidance on applying – and Industry Insight activity being delivered as part of TLPD are available on the ETF website.
