Would a specific EdTech Teacher Status benefit those teaching in FE?

 

The Education and Training Foundation (ETF) is carrying out an exercise exploring the feasibility of an EdTech Teacher Status for the Further Education (FE) and Training sector’s workforce.

Similar to QTLS and ATS, the EdTech Teacher Status would be the badge of EdTech advanced practitioner professionalism and mastery in FE. The EdTech Teacher Status would promote advanced practitioner recognition and would enable teachers and trainers to demonstrate how they are having an impact on others at an EdTech level to support them in developing their practice in order to improve the outcomes on their learners and/or to demonstrate how they consistently enable their learners to achieve excellent outcomes through their redefined pedagogic high-quality approaches and practice.

The ETF is welcoming thoughts from the whole FE sector through a short survey to help gauge opinion and make sure the needs of the sector are met.

The deadline to complete the survey the EdTech Teacher Status survey is 5pm on Friday 29 November 2019.
