Earlier this month, on behalf of the Education and Training Foundation, touchconsulting Ltd launched three new CPD modules for experienced practitioners, operating in Advanced Practitioner (AP)-type roles or for those leaders and managers with a commitment to quality improvement.
If you are an experienced AP or a manager committed to quality improvements, we are confident one, if not all, of the new ‘Advanced Practice’ modules will catch your eye. All three are blended modules with their own distinct delivery model – a combination of online tasks, live session(s) via Zoom and a follow up webinar. Modules start from November 2020. Do make your booking or get the ball rolling as we know many of you will need to get staff CPD requests signed off. We had 304!!! expressions of interest over the Summer so we are pretty sure all three modules will be popular. Each module is subsidised by the Education and Training Foundation.
So here goes…
Using Developmental Observations – Advanced Practice
For practitioners keen to re-examine observations through a formative, and not performative, lens – this is a must. This module is designed and delivered by Professor Matt O’Leary and Joanne Miles and explores expansive and practical ways of using observations developmentally. There is a focus on developing the coaching beliefs, behaviours and skills underpinning such an approach. There will be pre-module tasks, a Zoom day, and post session tasks including implementing a small-scale project such as:
AP Teams – Advanced Practice
For managers leading AP-type teams this is a must. This module will focus on how to create and sustain the conditions for AP teams to thrive; exploring your vision, resources and skills investment in APs. It will be delivered by Joanne Miles with a keynote from Professor Matt O’Leary.
There will be pre-module tasks, a Zoom day, and post session tasks including implementing a small-scale project. And we will be drawing on the Manager’s Guide which the team produced as part of last year’s #APConnect programme on behalf of the Education and Training Foundation. It’s very good!
Using Thinking Environments – Advanced Practice
For those APs who have some experience of practising the Thinking Environment, first introduced on day one of ETF’s ‘Developing APs’ three-day CPD, this is a must. Designed and delivered by Lou Mycroft and Bryony Croft, this blended module will focus on practising the facilitation of applications such as thinking pairs, dialogue, timed talk, thinking rounds and time to think councils – with lots of opportunities to practice, practice, practice! We will be running this module over 5 sessions, incorporating Ideas Rooms, longer Zoom sessions plus networking activities.
In the meantime…
