The Education and Training Foundation (ETF) is launching a pair of concise, hands-on AI workshops designed specifically for the FE & Skills sector:

Empowering Educators with AI – a practical workshop exploring AI tools and their real world application in the classroom enhancing planning, delivery, and assessment.

AIforLeadership inFE& Skills – a strategic session for senior and middle leaders on leveraging AI to solve sector challenges, drive efficiency, and foster innovation.

Each 3-hour live online workshop blends expert demonstration with guided practice, giving participants the confidence and framework to implement AI responsibly and effectively in their roles.

Generative AI has moved from experiment to everyday reality. ChatGPT reached 100 million users in two months, and Jisc’s 2024 survey shows 87 % of FE staff are already using AI tools informally. Yet many institutions lack clear guidance, policies, and skills development routes.

The ETF’s new AI workshops respond directly to this need, aligning to our strategic objectives of driving professionalism, improving teaching and learning, enabling sector change and rooted in ETF’s Professional Standards.
