What Works Teach-Meets

Do you want some practical tips on approaches that work for teaching your subject? What works teach-meets (WWTM) can help you become a more effective teacher by developing your pedagogical content knowledge and improve outcomes for your students while building professional networks at a national level.

What are the Teach-Meets?

WWTMs, developed and run by Sheffield Hallam University, are led by subject specialist teachers who present an approach they have found to be effective when teaching their subject.

They are online, last for about an hour, and take place between 4pm and 6pm. Sessions were offered from 19 subjects last year, from construction to English and maths.

Resources, recordings and session details

You can find recordings and resources from last year’s WWTMs, as well as details for this year’s sessions on the designated WWTM site. Additions to the site this year are to include podcasts from Ofsted, the DfE and FE practitioners.

Further information and questions

We hope to meet you at the WWTMs, but if you would like to lead a session or have any questions, please get in touch with Sarah Boodt at Sheffield Hallam University.
