David Guile is Professor in Education and Work at UCL’s Institute of Education (IOE). He previously worked at the Post-16 Centre for Education, leading the first work-based learning project in the IOE, which aimed to identify ways educational institutions could support FE teachers and trainers in the private sector to respond to technological and organisational change. He currently leads an interdisciplinary department of over 100 staff, researching with external partners to diversify the contribution educational research can make academically, professionally and practically.
