The ETF’s Leadership Development programmes, funded by the Department for Education, have been developed with key experts in the sector and from the world of leadership management. This includes key partners such as Saïd Business School, University of Oxford and the Chartered Institute of Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).
In our role as the national workforce development body in the Post-16 Further Education and Training sector, these ETF programmes are designed to ensure that today’s sector leaders have the skills and development opportunities they need for their organisations – whether they are governors, CEOs/Principals, Chief Finance Officers or middle managers.
Developing tomorrow’s sector leaders and ensuring there is sound succession planning is equally as vital. Hence why we developed a programme for those who will become a CEO/Principal in the next few years alongside middle manager courses which are in development.
Sir Frank McLoughlin CBE, sets out the importance of this programme in the Times Educational Supplement.
We also have a range of clerks’ courses for those fulfilling those roles at colleges and a governor recruitment service.
Please explore the leadership opportunities available and if you require any further, please contact email@example.com or call 020 3740 8280.
Last year, DfE asked the ETF, supported by AoC, to deliver a pilot programme of external board reviews among FE and sixth-form college corporations, plus designated institutions.
The evaluation and overview reports of the 28 reviews which took place are available to read now (they should be read in conjunction with each other).
