Mastery Teach Meet

The session will include presentations from national experts alongside leading mathematics teachers with recent experiences of using Mastery approaches in Further Education colleges. The CfEM key principles for Mastery will be introduced and there will be opportunities for group discussions with colleagues from across the sector.

The CfEM key principles for teaching approaches that use context to provide new ways of seeing mathematics will be introduced and considered. There will be opportunities to discuss and learn from colleagues across the sector and to consider ideas from leading national and international experts in using context for teaching maths. The ideas discussed will have relevance to all teaching but particularly for level 2 courses such as GCSE resits and functional skills.
