TLPD for Schools

The T Level Professional Development (TLPD) offer from the Education and Training Foundation (ETF) has been commissioned by the Department for Education and developed with experts in collaboration with learning providers and employers, to support you to ensure you and your school are T Level ready.

Our offer is a rich mix of live online and face-to-face workshops, e-learning resources, mentoring, networking, and industry collaboration. At the core is a range of subject-specific training which provides practical help to everyone involved in the planning and delivery of T Levels.

Meet your TLPD tour guide! To help you navigate the T Level Professional Development offer, you’ll be assigned a dedicated Area Relationship and Development Lead (ARDL), who will support you in your journey and signpost you to the most relevant and appropriate CPD activities. Get in touch with your ARDL.

Six steps to T Level success!

The TLPD journey consists of six steps, starting with a training needs analysis to identify gaps and recommend appropriate CPD. You’ll then gain access to a range of courses to help you plan, deliver and support T levels, as well as subject specific training, leadership courses, and networks. You’ll also gain the opportunity to update your industry knowledge or upskill your industry practice via placements and workshops with employers.

See below and download the TLPD for Schools brochure for more information.

Step one: Individual Training Needs Analysis (ITNA)

All training is accessed on our Professional Development Platform so you will need to create an account. The ITNA is a short questionnaire available to all staff involved in the delivery of T Levels and will inform your understanding, identify your individual development needs and fill any gaps in your knowledge. Doing an ITNA will generate recommended and essential courses tailored especially to you.
