Job Description

The Education and Training Foundation (ETF) helps ensure that the Further Education (FE) and Training sector develops world class leaders, teachers and trainers. We work across the whole FE sector and are funded by Government grant, commercial contracts, professional membership (The Society for Education and Training – SET) and accreditation fees and a variety of other business activities.

We are now looking to appoint a Business Development Coordinator who will support business growth by providing assistance and helping to coordinate successful bids for a variety of grants and contracts across the UK and internationally. This includes helping to identify opportunities, and ongoing support for the development of bids from design to submission, working with key stakeholders and strategic partners, and contributing to the influencing and shaping of FE workforce development policy.

The role will report into the Business Development Manager and will include supporting the management and initial implementation of business development projects by coordinating and monitoring activities, tasks, and project plans.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Education to level 4/5 or equivalent work experience
  • Experience working in a private, not for profit or public sector organisation, with a strong understanding of business principles
  • Extensive project coordination experience in an office environment
  • Evidenced experience supporting project management activities
  • Experience engaging effectively with stakeholders and partners
  • The ability to write clearly and concisely with accurate use of grammar and punctuation
  • A high level of accuracy in all work with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong personal organisation skills with the ability to priorities effectively to meet deadlines
  • Ability to build relationships across the organisation and to work effectively across teams to maximise resources
  • Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office packages
