Job Description

The Education and Training Foundation (ETF) helps ensure the Further Education and Training sector to develop world class leaders, teachers and trainers. We work across the whole FE sector and are funded by Government grant, commercial contracts, professional membership and accreditation fees and a variety of other activities.

We are now looking to appoint a new Finance System Administrator to provide first line support for the organisation’s purchase order system WAP and the Finance system Sage 200.  This would be an excellent role for an experienced and dedicated professional who would like to move in the charity sector and be part of a young and growing Finance team.

Reporting to the Financial Controller and working in close partnership with the Finance team (7) and IT team (7), you will play a vital role in ensuring that all aspects of the PO & Finance systems are managed properly.  You will interact on a daily basis with budget holders, users and senior staff to ensure that set ups are accurate and properly maintained as well as lead in the general maintenance and update of both systems in collaboration with external support desks.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Strong experience of system maintenance in particular with Sage200 and WAP
  • Ability to grasp how systems are set up, make changes where required and put forward proposals for improvements
  • Highly self-motivated and proactive professional
  • Ability to present information, ideas and challenges to a wide range of staff
  • Relevant IT qualification, knowledge and ideally an accountancy qualification (e.g. AAT, CIMA or ACCA)
