Job Description

The Education and Training Foundation (ETF) helps ensure that the Further Education and Training sector develops world class leaders, teachers and trainers. We work across the whole FE sector and are funded by Government grant, commercial contracts, professional membership (The Society for Education and Trainng – SET) and accreditation fees and a variety of other business activities

We are now looking to appoint a Learning and Development Officer who will be responsible for the development, delivery and evaluation of all learning and development events and training sessions within the ETF to both management and employees.

The L&D officer will also work collaboratively with the HR team to provide generalist advice and support to line managers and other employees on HR issues.

The role will report into the Head of HR and will be responsible for contributing to the delivery and evaluation of all internal HR training sessions to both managers and employees. They will be in charge of all personal training and development information that comes from appraisals, ensure the information is properly captured, monitored and organised for all employees.

The successful candidate will:

  • Holds Level 5 CIPD qualification or above.
  • A general knowledge of a learning environment, specific knowledge of the learning and development process
  • Previous experience of working in a Learning and Development Officer position
  • Good knowledge of HR processes
  • Great interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and work effectively across teams and with a variety of people both inside and outside the organisation.
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise work appropriately.
  • A flexible, hands-on approach to work and a strong team player.
  • As an individual you will be proactive and demonstrate the ability to work confidently.
  • A respectful and inclusive attitude
