Job Description

The Education and Training Foundation (ETF) helps ensure that the Further Education and Training sector develops world class leaders, teachers and trainers. We work across the whole FE sector and are funded by Government grant, commercial contracts, professional membership (The Society for Education and Training – SET) and accreditation fees and a variety of other business activities.

We are now looking to appoint a Membership Engagement Officer who will oversee online and face to face engagement activities for SET..

The role will report into the Senior Operations Manager and will develop and oversee an engagement strategy for key member groups, including student members, focusing on the conversion from free membership and the management of the Student Teacher Advisory Group.  They will also oversee online and face to face events.

The successful candidate will:

  • Clearly able to demonstrate expertise in membership engagement
  • Experience of managing events, online and face to face
  • Experience creating management level reports
  • Ability to develop project plans, overseeing from concept through to evaluation
  • Experience dealing directly with members/customers
  • Experience managing committees or groups
  • Experience working with CRM software to derive information and produce reports
  • The ability to prioritise workload to meet tight deadlines and competing priorities
  • The ability to assess performance and progress using both quantitative and qualitative information
  • Ability to reach decisions and judgments based upon a sound evidence base
  • A creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills
