Job Description

The Education and Training Foundation (ETF) helps ensure that the Further Education and Training sector develops world class leaders, teachers and trainers. We work across the whole FE sector and are funded by Government grant, commercial contracts, professional membership (The Society for Education and Trainng – SET) and accreditation fees and a variety of other business activities.

We are now looking to appoint a Network Coordinator who will coordinate the network activity through a national workforce development strategy with the objective of providing professional development training for FE providers across all ETF programmes.


The role will report into the Head of Regional Engagement and will be responsible for

  • Establishing and managing a database of networks and special interest groups.
  • identifying and reporting any geographical and subject gaps within the network collaborative activity.
  • developing and maintaining a thorough understanding of local, regional and sector specific trends.
  • working within ETF’s regional team to maintain and manage high-level engagement.
  • analyse the recruitment, participation and satisfaction levels to measure effectiveness of the network activity.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Have experience in supporting or managing events, with a strong understanding of what makes a good event
  • Be willing to travel on behalf of the organisation.
  • Have experience of owning, managing and tracking a budget, and evidence of financial literacy.
  • Be commercially aware with the ability to develop and implement a national delivery and event strategy
  • Have an ability to design and implement processes to manage large volumes of event activity
