Job Description

If so, the Education and Training Foundation (ETF) is looking for a highly motivated and proactive Office Manager (including Governance Officer) who will play a pivotal role in the next exciting chapter of the charity and its membership body (the Society for Education and Training) by supporting an organisation and a sector that continues to grow in importance to the country’s future.

We are looking for an individual to:

  • Ensure the effective and smooth running of ETF’s physical and virtual working environments, with consideration for staff well being and value for money
  • Provide the highest level of governance secretariat services to the ETF and its subsidiaries, demonstrating effective governance practice
  • Deputise for the Head of the CEO’s Office in his/her absence, including company secretary duties

The successful candidate will:

  • Be educated to at least level 6 (i.e. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent)
  • Be able to take personal responsibility for a diverse workload, managing time and prioritising effectively
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills with the proven ability to form productive working relationships with diverse groups including trustees, senior managers, and senior stakeholder
  • Have successfully managed a small team of staff
  • Demonstrate excellent organisational and coordination skills
  • Be a confident and articulate communicator with excellent oral communication skills
  • Produce high quality, concise and accurate written material with minimal supervision, including meeting agenda, minutes, reports and correspondence
  • Manage efficient systems of administrative and correspondence record keeping
  • Demonstrate confident and expert use of the internet and Microsoft packages
  • Be highly motivated, energetic and proactive, with the confidence to work independently
  • Be a collaborative team player. Calm under pressure with the ability to work flexibly
  • Be discreet and understands the need to maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive matters
  • Have a commitment to the purpose and values of the ETF
