Job Description

The Education and Training Foundation (ETF) helps ensure that the Further Education and Training sector develops world class leaders, teachers and trainers. We work across the whole FE sector and are funded by Government grant, commercial contracts, professional membership (The Society for Education and Trainng – SET) and accreditation fees and a variety of other business activities.

We are now looking to appoint a Project Officer who will be responsible for supporting the management of contractual performance across ETF’s programme delivery. This role involves coordinating project activity, managing small projects or strands of work, tracking and monitoring training outputs and resources, building and maintaining relationships with external stakeholders and leading on developing and embedding ways of working between departments of the Education and Training Foundation.

The role will report into the National Head of Higher Level Education and T Level Design and will be responsible for the successful high quality design of new training programmes for the sector. This role is pivotal in ensuring the training is well planned, links together across different strands and is built on the best available evidence. The role will link closely to the Performance Management Team, Regional Delivery Team and Quality Team through sharing and collation of information and course content.

The successful candidate will:

  • Education to level 4/5 or equivalent work experience
  • Extensive experience of supporting project management activities
  • Engaging effectively with stakeholders and partners
  • Managing and monitoring budgets across a programme of work
  • Understanding of English education policy and the further education system
  • A high level of accuracy in all work with excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office packages
  • Ability to build relationships across the organisation and to work effectively cross teams to maximise resources
  • Ability to work within a high performance environment and to deliver key performance indicators
